iPhone 7 deals – The best prices around for Apple’s awesome smartphone
The iPhone 7 still remains an awesome smartphone, which at the time of release Express.co.uk lauded as “the best iPhone Apple has ever made”.
Launched back in September 2016, the iPhone 7 brought waterproofing to Apple’s hugely popular smartphone range for the first time.
The iPhone 7 Plus also introduced a dual camera set-up that rivals have since been initiating as well as haptic feedback with the Taptic Engine.
These features came at a cost, with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus becoming the first ever Apple smartphones to drop the 3.5mm headphone jack.
But despite initial resistance from some fans, this is a feature that a number of Apple’s big rivals have since adopted also.
For iPhone fans who have held back on upgrading so far, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will offer plenty of big improvements.
And the iPhone 7 can be picked up right now for almost half the price of the iPhone X thanks to some great money saving deals.
The iPhone 7 launched in the UK with prices starting at £599, while the iPhone 7 Plus was available from £719.
Since then prices have fallen, with the iPhone 7’s RRP at £549 and the iPhone 7 Plus’s regular asking price now £669.
But for those looking to grab an iPhone 7, they can get it for even cheaper right now thanks to some money saving deals available at the moment.
Mobiles.co.uk is the best place if you’re looking to get the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus SIM free.
The base 32GB model of the iPhone 7 is available unlocked for £529, a saving of £30 on its current RRP.
That is almost half the RRP for the base model of the iPhone X also.
While the entry level iPhone 7 Plus 32GB model is available for £639 SIM free, a saving of £30 on the current asking price.
Mobiles.co.uk has both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus available in all five colour schemes.
These are Jet Black, Black, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold.
If you’re looking to get the iPhone 7 on contract, then Mobiles.co.uk has also rounded up some of the best deals around.
For the iPhone 7, they recommend an O2 deal which will give you 12GB of data per month, unlimited minutes and unlimited texts and the 32GB handset.
It will set you back £35 a month for two years and a 99p upfront cost, with the total cost of the two year deal £840.99.
The big amount of monthly data on offer with that contract is thanks to 12GB for the price of 3GB promotion currently running.
For the iPhone 7 Plus, Mobiles.co.uk recommends another O2 deal.
This contract, for the 32GB handset, costs £29 a month for two years and also requires a £190 upfront cost for the Rose Gold model.
It’ll get you 3GB of monthly data, unlimited minutes and unlimited texts. Over the course of the 24 month contract you’ll end up paying £886.
That’s just over £45 more than the recommended O2 deal for the smaller-sized iPhone 7, but you’ll end up getting less monthly 4G data to use.
In the Express.co.uk review for the iPhone 7, published back in September 2016, we described it as an “incredibly powerful” phone.
We said: “It is fast, incredibly powerful, has a much-improved camera and is now water resistant.
“The new Jet Black colour scheme is also irresistible and we guarantee the first time you see it you’ll want to pop it straight in your pocket.”
We added: “While we have no problem with the demise of the headphone port, there will be plenty of people who are going to find using the tiny adaptor hugely irritating.
“This pill would have been made easier to swallow if Apple had upgraded its own headphones to include noise-cancelling.
“If these niggles don’t worry you, you’re certainly in for treat if you decide to upgrade to the iPhone 7.”
